During a one-on-one equine session, a Blackbird landed nearby just as we were coming to the end. One of the horses noticed and approached the bird, which remained still as they shared a gaze exchange lasting several seconds—an extraordinary moment that felt suspended in time. This magical experience, rich with significance, inspired me to write this blog. In our fast-paced lives, we often overlook the powerful messages surrounding us.

How We Can Work With The Message of the Blackbird:

When we face challenges in life, such as complex relationships, limiting beliefs about money, and overwhelming emotions like fear and anger, it may feel as if change is impossible. We often become accustomed to our struggles and resort to distractions to block out these thoughts, yet nothing shifts. I learnt that whatever you are feeling is valid. Self-criticism and denial offer no value and hinder your well-being. Embrace compassion towards yourself, offering Comfort and understanding. Treat yourself as you would a frightened five-year-old child.

When you feel ready to explore why life isn't aligning with your expectations or why things seem increasingly challenging, engaging in healthy and comforting activities is crucial. Introduce gentle movement into your routine to help release pent-up emotions.

Avoid pressuring yourself to complete unnecessary tasks. Allow yourself to 'be' and give your body, mind, and spirit a chance to 'reboot' and rest. Participate in activities that nourish and ground you. For example, I enjoy writing, sipping cacao while listening to the trees, reading about everything magical, and taking walks. You might prefer working out, organising your space, or spending time in nature. Choose whatever makes you feel good. Even if you feel stuck, a simple shake of your arms can help release uncomfortable feelings.

Sitting under a beloved tree or in a cherished park or garden can bring you Comfort in both magical and everyday ways when you take the time to slow down.
